The St. Charles Writers Group is a workshop for novice or experienced writers that meets the second and the fourth Saturday of each month. The group is open to all those 18 years of age or older looking for a community of writers and seeking to improve their writing. All genres are welcome.
Showcase a lifetime of your knowledge and celebrate years of experience through your spelling abilities, that allow continual learning, and keep your brain active. Meet like-minded folks and compete with some of the best spellers in Illinois. Compete in a broad spectrum of words with varying difficulty. A practice session will be held Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. Participants will advance through three levels of competition: Local (info below), Regionals held in June at a location TBD, and the State Finals on Aug 14 at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.
