The Library is honored once again to host the CUSD #303 Student Art Show. Works from elementary through high school will be displayed in the Huntley Meeting Room, the Art Gallery and both lobby display cases. An Open House honoring the student artists will be held on Saturday, July 8 from 2:00–3:00 p.m. The community is invited to attend. DROP IN

Part 1 of 2: AARP Smart Driver is the nation's first and largest driver safety course designed especially for drivers age 50 and above. The course covers defensive driving techniques and provides tips for adjusting to the normal changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time associated with aging. Participants will learn about current rules of the road and how to operate their vehicles more safely in today's increasingly-challenging driving environment. A participation fee of $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members includes a guidebook. Attendees pay the instructor directly.

The St. Charles Writers Group is a workshop for novice or experienced writers that meets the second and the fourth Saturday of each month. The group is open to all those 18 years of age or older looking for a community of writers and seeking to improve their writing. All genres are welcome. Guest speaker Elizabeth Wheeler will present.
