Asian Pacific American Authors

stripe

In 1977, bills were introduced in the U.S. Senate and House to recognize Asian Pacific Americans; and in 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed a joint resolution proclaiming the annual celebration. In 1990, President George H.W. Bush designated May as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

At the St. Charles Public Library, we celebrate by recognizing Asian Pacific American authors. Here is a selected list of Asian Pacific American authors and their works. Click on this link for more information on Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
