LIBRARY INFORMATION DIRECTORY

The St. Charles Public Library District is a unit of local government incorporated and organized under the laws of the State of Illinois for the purpose of providing its residents with the following services:

1)   Maintenance of a collection of book and non-book material;
2)   Provision of reference and information services;
3)   Sponsoring of programs supportive of library goals;
4)   Provision of access to resources beyond the scope of the St. Charles Public Library District.

The St. Charles Public Library District has certain functional subdivisions which are shown on Table I attached hereto.  The approximate amount of the operating budget is $7,500,000.  The Library’s sole office is located at One South Sixth Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois 60174.  The Library District currently employs 122 full and part-time employees.  The members of the committees of the St. Charles Public Library District Board of Trustees are as follows:

LIBRARY HOURS
The Library is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The Library  is open on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
