Chick Lit

  • Chicklit Clubext link - a website devoted to new releases, reviews and author interviews.
  • Downtown Pressext link - A division of Simon & Schuster , this page lists their current releases and provides a bulletin board to discuss your favorite chick lit authors.

Gentle Reads

  • The Cozy Libraryext link - learn about cozy books you haven’t read or to get to know your favorite cozy authors.

Horror

  • DarkEcho Horrorext link - horror fans can link to the Horror Writers of America and Dark Links to find lists of horror authors, interviews, and book reviews.

History

  • The Historical Novel Societyext link - British site that publishes Historical Novels Review and contains newsletters, author interviews and forthcoming titles.

Mystery

  • MysteryHomepageext link - the LINK to everything a mystery reader could hope for including discussion groups, authors, conferences, fan clubs, new titles and awards.
  • Mystery Readerext link - covers authors, small press publishers, and reviews of forthcoming books.
  • New Mystery Reader Magazineext link - online magazine dedicated to mystery book lovers. It includes reviews, short stories, recommendations, and author profiles.
  • Stop - You're Killing Meext link - indexes books by author, setting, historical period and character's professions.

Romance

  • The Romance Readerext link - includes latest news and reviews of romance novels arranged by category plus author interviews and archival information.
  • Romance Writers of Americaext link - a professional organization of published and aspiring romance writers with extensive links to their novels by category, author biographies and upcoming events.

Science Fiction and Fantasy

  • The Science Fiction Fantasy Siteext link - the homepage for fantasy and science lovers that covers awards, interviews, novel excerpts, E-Zines and much more.
  • Uchronia /Alternate Historyext link - for lovers of "what ifs," this site offers annotated lists of novel and short stories that can be searched by author, series, country and anthologies. Contains new lists of the genre as well as older ones dating back to 1732

Thrillers

    Created by thriller authors, this website includes reviews, news and awards as well as a "must-read thriller" list.  Visitors can also sign up for the monthly "Thriller Readers Newsletter."

Western

  • Western Writers of Americaext link - resource for lovers of the American West with links to authors of historical fiction and their works, local area histories and the winners of the Spur Awards.
