Upcoming Events for Teens
It’s the summer of the memoir – we’ll read three completely different, true life tales of growing up. This month, the teen graphic novel book discussion group will discuss: Relish: My Life in the Kitchen. Food, Food, Food! Lucy Knisley has been surrounded by food and foodies her whole life.
Learn easy ways to immediately transform your scores on the ACT Writing portion! Jordan Catapano will teach specific writing techniques so you will be able to compose an articulate, sophisticated essay in 30 minutes. Carnegie Community Room
Not Just Capes is a monthly graphic novel discussion for non-superhero graphic novels. From realistic fiction to sci-fi and all things in-between, if there are no capes or tights, we’ll read it. Copies of each month’s selection will be in The Loft to read or check out.
Conquer those pretest jitters early and improve your scores by taking a practice ACT exam at the Library. Kaplan will contact students individually with personalized results. College is right around the corner! Huntley Meeting Room
