A mother must be away from her son for the day. She tells him that no matter where she goes, he is in her heart. 'When I'm standing with other people waiting for the bus, and when I'm sitting by myself reading the paper, and when I take off my coat and begin doing my work, you're in my heart. Plenty of room for you here!' The tale takes us through her whole day (with her activities as well as her son's activities) until the two finally reunite at the end of the day. The book closes with the son sleeping peacefully in bed, with all his family members inside his own heart.

Baby Duck hates the rain. Her feathers get all wet, and her feet get all muddy. On her way with her mother and father to have pancakes with Grandfather Duck, she makes up a song about how much she hates the rain. At Grandfather's house, she learns that her mother hated rain, too. Grandfather gives Baby her mother's old boots and umbrella and shows her how much fun rain can be. This is a series of books that show a warm relationship between Baby and Grandfather.

When you read your history books, you might think that all of the spies, heroes, and warriors who led and fought in the American Revolutionary War were men, but that just isn't true! This book combines bright pictures, interesting facts, and funny stories to tell the tales of a few of the women who helped make and shape this country. Some of the women crossed enemy lines to deliver important messages, and some wrote essays and newspaper articles supporting the American fight for independence. Some of them even dressed up like soldiers and joined the fighting! If you think that history is boring, think again. These incredible women made a difference, and had an exciting time doing it!
