Then the 'unsqueakable' occurs: Ms. Mac leaves the class, and Mrs. Brisbane resumes her role as teacher. Suddenly, Humphrey is stuck in a class with a teacher who hates rodents! Young people who love disgusting things will be delighted with this picture book, which examines animal babies and what they eat. Lizards, owls, frogs, and other types of animal babies are shown eating rotten eggs, worms, spiders, and rats. Each two-page spread features an animal baby gobbling down an unappealing meal with the repeated refrain, 'That's not our baby's supper! Yuck!' The book closes by showing what our (human) babies do eat for supper: warm, creamy milk.
