Toby Wheeler is a gym rat, and he's happy with that. Why would he want to be tied to practices in organized basketball when he can be a free man playing basketball at the recreation center? Toby's best friend, JJ, plays for the team, and as far as Toby can see, it's a lot of work. When JJ seems to be slipping away from Toby to spend time with his new friends, and the new coach encourages Toby to come out for the team, he decides to give it a shot. Could it be worth it, though, if the only position he has on the team is as a benchwarmer?

Corey never dreamed Little League could be so humiliating. Their team sponsor is a bathroom tissue company, and their coach knows absolutely nothing about baseball. Things just get worse when the coach's obnoxious granddaughter takes over as coach. It looks to Corey like the Tigers are about to become the laughing-stock of the league!
