Lulu always gets her way, or she throws a wild, screeching tantrum. When her parents say no to Lulu's birthday request for a brontosaurus, and won't cave in to Lulu's demand (no matter how much she screeches), Lulu runs away. She successfully navigates the dangers of the forest with her unique brand of creative brattiness, but when the brontosaurus she finds is determined to make Lulu his own pet, how will she escape a creature who is every bit as stubborn as she is? The author provides us with alternate endings in case we're not pleased with the first one. The beautiful design and illustrations make this book a pleasure to view.

Lulu is totally, most definitely a brat. If she doesn't get what she wants, she'll just throw herself on the ground and yell and scream until the light bulbs break. She'll shout so loud that her parents just give her whatever she wants to make her stop. And she never says please. One day Lulu decides that she wants a brontosaurus for her birthday. She wants to keep it as a pet! Lulu's parents say no, of course, and she throws a terrible tantrum. But for once they won't budge. So Lulu runs away, far into the forest. Finally she finds a brontosaurus. He is lonely, but he doesn't want to be Lulu's pet. He wants Lulu to be HIS pet! Find out what happens as Lulu and the brontosaurus come to an arrangement;and maybe, just maybe, Lulu will learn how to say please.
