Griffin loves to wish, but she gets more than she bargained for when she is cursed into becoming a 'wish stealer,' which dictates that all her good wishes will not come true, but her evil ones will. She cannot tell anyone about the curse, or it will mean none of their wishes will ever come true. There may be a way to defeat the curse, but it will require her to be clever, selfless, and persistent...which is hard when the opposite of her most cherished wishes starts coming true. With wishing-related and uplifting quotations at the end of each chapter, complex interpersonal and school situations, and a story filled with interesting turns, this is an enjoyable, light read, perfect for wishers everywhere.
