When a sudden, raging blizzard strikes Minnesota in 1940, the Huff family is in grave danger. Little do they know that their paths are about to cross with Warren and Betsy, sixth-graders from the modern day who are using a new invention, the Instant Commuter, to travel back in time to research the storm. Warren and Betsy underestimate the storm, though, and their machine freezes. Surrounded by snow and fighting for their own lives, they find the young Huff girl lost in the blizzard. Can Warren, Betsy, and the Huff family make it through the storm alive?
