It is 1600. Elizabeth, the daughter of a duke, is in bed ill with a fever when suddenly she finds herself surrounded by pigs on a farm in Iowa in 1988. The family on whose farm she lands does not believe she is who she claims to be, and Elizabeth is shocked at their casual mannerisms and strange technologies. When she is given a seemingly magical drug that cures her illness, she becomes determined to return to her time to heal her mother, who is near death.
