In Victorian London, alley cat Skilley wants to escape the hard life of the streets for the comforts of an inn. He makes a home at the Cheshire Cheese Inn under the pretence of being a mouser, but Skilley has a secret. He doesn't eat mice! Instead, he prefers cheese, and the best cheese in London is served at the inn. Skilley forms an alliance with the inn's mice, but complications arise when another cat moves in.
