Sammy's mom has moved to Hollywood to become a big actress. Sammy and her friend, Marisa, take the bus down to surprise her with a visit. They find that Sammy's mom has changed everything, her hair, her name, even the birth date on her fake driver's license. When the biggest rival for a soap opera part that Sammy's mom 'will do anything to get,' is found dead in her room, Sammy has to wonder if her mom has changed enough to commit murder.
