When Kat's Dad gets a job as a science teacher at a prestigious private school on the East Coast, things seem perfect until Kat's rich, popular classmates shove her to the bottom of the social ladder just for being smart. Kat's dad is having troubles of his own. He receives an anonymous letter from a student that threatens to have him fired if he does not pass everyone in the class. Kat becomes friends with a girl named Mouse who loves to work on computers. Can Kat and Mouse find out who is blackmailing her dad before Kat's dad loses his job?
