Dragonslayer, number 4 in the Bone series, is a fantasy with a reluctant female heroine. After being run out of Boneville, the Bone cousins, Fone Bone, Phoney Bone, and Smiley Bone, have settled with Thorn, and her Gran'ma Ben, in a small village. Fone Bone, Thorn, and Gran'ma Ben are attacked by rat creatures, which retreat only after Thorn cuts off the arm of their leader. Gran'ma Ben tells Fone Bone that Thorn is a princess, and that she must battle the king of the locusts, or all will be lost. Then Gran'ma Ben disappears. Meanwhile, back in the village, Phoney Bone has convinced the people that he is a dragonslayer, who will protect them from dragons. Read this story to find out what happens next!
