Henry dreamed of the glory of battle, and he imagined himself as a knight, or a Roman soldier. To fulfill his dream, he joined the Union Army during the Civil War, against his mother's wishes. He talked big during training, as did many other men. What would happen in his first real battle? The first battle comes, and he, and many in his regiment run. He accidentally gets hit on the head, and wanders back into camp, telling a story about being wounded. He and his buddies get another chance in battle, and this time, they don't run.
