One day, mother cat and mother mouse are teaching their children about the way of the world, but one little cat and one little mouse do not listen. They each wander to a meadow, where they meet each other and make fast friends. When they each go home, they tell their brothers and sisters about how much fun they had. This is a story about making friends with people who are different than one's self. Three- and four- year olds will see themselves and enjoy the story and illustrations.
