Yotsuba is a young girl who doesn't seem to know anything about the world. As she explores, she is constantly amazed, delighted, and confused at what she finds. Each episode is a day in the life of Yotsuba, and her discoveries in her new town. Her neighbors, the three Asagi sisters, and her father's best friend, Jumbo, help her and her father explore, as well as rescue her from the trouble she inevitably encounters.
