Being in fifth grade was bad enough but Jack Rankin's school year took a really bad turn when his classmates discovered that John the Janitor was his dad. He gets teased and taunted and Jack quickly resents what his dad does and blames him for the bad place he is in. So Jack does the unthinkable, he creates a bubblegum masterpiece of a mess connecting the desk and the chair . . . and gets caught! Through his punishment, Jack learns more than cleaning skills as he works with his dad.
